Bangkok takes an electric boat tour of famous attractions Visit Wat Arun, Icon Siam, and The Jam Factory in one go
Bangkok, a vibrant city filled with history and bustling markets, now offers a new mode of transportation that will amaze visitors — electric boats. Near the famous shopping mall Icon Siam in Bangkok, there is a pier for the MINE Smart Ferry (also known as the Thai Smile Boat), which operates three routes: City Line (green), Metro Line (blue), and Urban Line (purple). These boats cruise along the Chao Phraya River to different neighbourhoods around Bangkok, offering passengers a comfortable way to explore and enjoy the river views without worrying about the city's traffic jams. The City Line, in particular, switched to electric ferries in February 2021, accommodating more passengers with air-conditioned cabins for a comfortable ride even on hot days. These electric boats reduce water pollution from emissions and only cost 20 Thai Baht per trip, making it a very convenient and eco-friendly option.
