Entering The Temple Complex

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a massive white gate, leading into a welcoming hall styled with traditional Chinese architecture. In the center stands a cheerful Maitreya Buddha, flanked by the Four Heavenly Kings in the hall dedicated to protecting the Buddha. The hall also features information in Chinese about the temple's history and about Master Hsing Yun, making it easier for visitors to understand its significance.

The Grand Hall of Great Enlightenment Exudes A Sense Of Grandeur

The five-story Hall of Great Enlightenment exudes a sense of grandeur. The three golden Buddha statues are complemented by a gold-leaf backdrop created by a team from Hong Kong.

The most impressive structure in the temple is the Hall of Great Enlightenment , adorned with a stone wall depicting two dragons competing for a pearl, showcasing traditional Chinese architectural features alongside Thai guardian elephants. Inside, the hall rises over five stories, housing three colossal golden Buddha statues at its center, complemented by massive murals meticulously crafted to inspire reverence. The interior walls are adorned with various Arhat figures and thousands of intricately carved Buddhist sculptures, creating a solemn and respectful atmosphere. Additional structures include a bell tower, drum tower, scripture hall, and halls dedicated to various deities.

The giant Buddhist reliefs exude a sense of peace and tranquility. The temple also houses a bell tower, a drum tower, a sutra repository, a Buddha Hall, and a Ksitigarbha Hall, which enshrine different deities.

The Iconic Guanyin Statue

The 37-meter tall golden Guanyin statue was built with special permission from the Thai government to exceed the standard height limit of 26 meters. The statue was assembled in Thailand after being crafted in Fujian, numerous smaller statues of Guanyin surround the main statue.

A standout feature of Thaihua Temple is the 37-meter tall golden statue of Guanyin, designed by Lin Sheng-biao, a master stone carver from Quanzhou, Fujian. The statue was created in Fujian and assembled in Thailand, featuring a seamless design that highlights the artist's skill. Guanyin's serene expression and her holding a sacred vase, accompanied by dozens of smaller statues of Guanyin, creating a breathtaking sight. The inner sanctum of the statue is also open for visitors to explore.
